Barbecued Vienna Sausages

Oh the poetry of Vienna Sausages. In Alabama where I grew up it was pronounced Vi - ayna, yes, hard to believe this, but true. The barbecue ones cost 10 cents more a can, but as they are drenched in thick red sauce, they are more fun to paint.

  1. We called them Vi (rhymes with eye) eena. I don't know when I realized the correct pronunciation. I do remember in school once when the teacher was explaining vowels that in Texas tin and ten are pronounced exactly the same.

    Nice job on the sausages, by the way. Fun painting!
