I loved the purifying mask series. What a fantastic exercise which ended up producing some really fine work. Wow. And this whole idea of abstract realism fascinates me. I'll have to do some reading up on it. In the one above I like how the rhythm of the stripes in the fabric is picked up by the shadow of the light socket.
A quickie painting. My first one, which was an attempt at Hodgkin inspired abstract realism, went the way of all flesh.
