Candy Corn (3x8")

OK, I know the chicken was grotesque. Grotesque things are good to paint because you really have to look hard. It wasn't my best chicken though, not even in the top ten. So there's room for improvement. In the meantime, something pretty to take your mind off the chicken.

  1. Grotesque? Not really - just amusing! I could picture me with a hen under a hot, bright light and the skin would begin to shrivel and the odor would begin to add to the experience! :-) Who knows maybe I should give it a try. It certainly would help me loosen up and paint faster! Your skin tones on your portraits are always beautiful so I guess painting a chicken works!! Who knew?!

Your candies are nicely done. Good shadows. Is the green ball in the front a candy? Anyway, I like the reflection and shadow on that one, too.

  2. It's a marble. I keep it around in case I need a bit of green in something.
    Thanks, Linda -
