Dish of Smelt


I took a brief hiatus because I suddenly forgot how to paint anything at all, but now I am back in the saddle. I set up an all grey still life to see what I could do with it, a stretch for me as I am a pink and orange over the top color enthusiast.

    influence is evident. But you seem to be getting closer to what you want to convey.

  3. Thanks to you above! I AM drawn to the grotesque, but...... in a good way. I just found the term for my aesthetic goal: Abstract Realism, yes, yes, yes.
